(Optimised Lightweight Intelligent Vehicle for Immediate Assistance)<\/strong> is an unmanned aerial vehicle (<strong>UAV<\/strong>) with <strong>full-automatic flight capabilities<\/strong>, designed for the <strong>delivery of humanitarian aid<\/strong> in emergencies.<\/span> <span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Its purpose is to provide logistical support in areas affected by natural disasters, <strong>ensuring fast, efficient and safe transport of essential goods<\/strong> to isolated areas.<\/span><\/p><p data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">The <strong>O.L.I.V.I.A. project<\/strong> was developed by Fly-Mi EUROAVIA Milano during the 2024\/25 academic year to participate in the <strong>UAS Challenge 2025<\/strong>. The competition involved building an aircraft (fixed-wing or rotary-wing) capable of carrying a 2<strong>.5 kg jettisonable payload<\/strong> along a <strong>route of approximately 15 km<\/strong>. The payload had to be released in flight in a predetermined area, where it would land thanks to the parachute with which the box was equipped. The <strong>main goal<\/strong> of the competition was to complete the mission as <strong>quickly<\/strong> and <strong>efficiently<\/strong> as possible, but above all in a <strong>fully automatic manner<\/strong>: take-off, navigation through waypoints, payload release and aircraft landing had to take place <strong>programmatically<\/strong>, without any intervention by the competition pilot.
