It is the only student association at the Politecnico di Milano entirely dedicated to aeronautics. Its goal is to design and build model aircraft, especially fixed-wing drones. It also aims to reach the top in international competitions in this field.
It was founded in 2022. Today, it has about 60 students from the engineering and design faculties of the Politecnico di Milano. The association has two prototypes: Aethra, its first project, and Nyx, the drone of the 2023/24 academic year.

In addition to participating in competitions, FlyMi aims to serve as an educational bridge between university and professional world.
